Package Overview

This safari combines two contrasting yet complementary ecosystems. Lake Nakuru National Park offers a compact park rich in birdlife and rhino sightings, while Maasai Mara National Reserve delivers expansive plains and high concentrations of large mammals.

Expect a varied safari experience—from lakeside views filled with flamingos to dramatic savannah landscapes filled with predators.

Itinerary

Day 1: Depart Nairobi and drive to Lake Nakuru via the Great Rift Valley with scenic stops. Arrive mid-morning and begin a game drive around the lake, spotting flamingos, rhinos, buffaloes, and other wildlife. Check in to your lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: After breakfast, depart for Maasai Mara with a scenic drive through the countryside. Arrive in time for lunch at your camp, followed by an afternoon game drive exploring nearby wildlife areas. Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Spend the entire day in Maasai Mara with a full-day game drive. Explore deeper parts of the reserve with picnic lunch, tracking wildlife and visiting river areas where animals gather. Return in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4: Early morning game drive, breakfast, and departure for Nairobi with en-route stops.

Accommodation

Accommodation includes a safari lodge near Lake Nakuru (often overlooking the lake or park) and a tented camp or lodge in/near Maasai Mara. Both offer ensuite facilities, dining areas, and scenic views. Mara camps typically provide a more immersive bush experience, while Nakuru lodges often feature elevated views and more permanent structures.

Cancellation policy

Clients may cancel their trip booking at any time; however, a full refund will only be issued for cancellations made more than fourteen (14) days before the scheduled date, while cancellations made between seven (7) and fourteen (14) days will receive a 50% refund, and those made less than seventy-two (72) hours before the trip, including no-shows, will not be eligible for any refund. Rescheduling is allowed if requested at least seventy-two (72) hours in advance and is subject to availability. In the event of cancellation by the operator due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund or rescheduling option will be offered, and all approved refunds will be processed within seven (7) to fourteen (14) business days via the original payment method, with any non-refundable third-party costs deducted where applicable.
